Jazz EZX is a collection of sounds designed specifically for songwriters and producers who are looking for drums suitable for jazz and related root music. It features hand-picked and pristine vintage instruments, recorded with unsurpassed detail and care at Nashville’s famed Blackbird Studios.


Hall “A” is known for having one of the best acoustics in the world. It is large, with a high ceiling and perfectly executed dense walls, creating an amazing natural reverb. This, combined with unrivaled signal chains from rare and vintage fixtures, results in rich, warm and authentic drums with unsurpassed sound quality.

The Jazz EZX was sampled by legendary drum virtuoso Roy “Futureman” Wooten. He is a Grammy award-winning composer, inventor and multi-instrumentalist who has pioneered the use of sampled drums since 1985. He performed on the same stage and recorded numerous albums with many jazz legends. These recordings truly convey his touch, his heart, his philosophy and his unique approach to the craft. A new chapter has appeared in the history of jazz drums.
