SQ8ROM is a sampled version of SQ8L, a VST plug-in that replicates the sound and architecture of the Ensoniq SQ80. The Ensoniq SQ80 is a synthesizer from 1988 based on wavetable synthesis with an analog filter to generate sound that is typical of the 80s. The result sounds charming and lo-fi.
