Solo cello. To achieve realism, we recorded an unprecedented number of samples for a solo instrument, but managing it all by loading individual patches would be slow, cumbersome and overwhelming for inspiration. This is where the virtual performer comes into play, manipulating all the different legato types, bow types and emotional expressions as they play, all from a single patch and all in real time.
