“Preparing” an instrument is an experimental technique based on placing objects on top of the strings. Flavio and Filippo, the minds behind this project, followed the idea of searching, new sounds from the most interesting acoustic sources.

We recorded the library in a beautiful church in the heart of Rome, “Chiesa Valdese di Piazza Cavour” in the heart of Rome. This church is mainly known for its outstanding organ and for the interesting acoustic, with a long and smooth reverb tail.

We played the piano with more than 15 techniques, using screws, coins, bow, mallets, felt, chains and other unique preparations.
